BackYear 8 Netball Match Report – Tuesday 10th February
On Tuesday 10th February, the Year 8 netball team played a home match against Frances Bardsley. We began the game outside, hoping to avoid the February rain, and successfully completed the first quarter before a heavy downpour forced us to move indoors to finish the match.
There were excellent performances across the team. Amariah and Leah worked tirelessly, and Maya was deservedly named Player of the Match for her outstanding contribution. Both Maya and Amariah demonstrated superb shooting, converting numerous opportunities into goals.
In defence, Favour made some excellent interceptions, successfully gaining possession for our team and helping to transition the ball effectively down the court, resulting in goals at the other end. Nikoya played a particularly versatile game, switching from Centre to Goal Defence throughout the match. She intercepted many passes and showed excellent awareness and gameplay across the court.
The match ended in a fantastic victory for Abbs Cross – a well-deserved result for the team’s hard work and determination. The final result was a resounding win of 9-4.
