Thursday
A selection of Yr10 GCSE Food and Preparation students took the kitchen and became Culture Week Chefs, preparing a selection of foods from different continents around the world including pastries and spring rolls. Staff and students were invited to taste the foods and celebrate. Thank you to Mrs Rogers to leading this session.
Friday
A competition looking into flags and countries around the world filled the corridors with excitement for Key Stage 3 students, where they had to find the flags located with different staff across the day. A bonus point if you could translate the scrambled phrase!
And to end the week, 120 students participated in four shows across the day, showcasing dance, drama and music acts linking to different continents. Year 9 and Year 10 Senior Board pitched facts and information about their chosen continent, as well as students wearing cultural dress to the audience. Students loved being part of the performances and enjoyed watching the performances just as much! Thank you to Mrs Roberts and Miss Monaghan for leading these sessions.
