Year 10 GSCE French Attend A Screening Of A French Film

On Wednesday 16th July, the Y10 GSCE French class set off for London to attend a screening of the French film ‘The Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle’ at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square.
The film, which was a 1987 Eric Rohmer classic, told the story of 2 friends as they navigated their way through adulthood and portrayed their adventures in a humourous and light hearted way.
The students were able to follow the storyline using the subtitles and picking out lots of vocabulary that they had learnt across KS3 and KS4 and lots of the students were proud of how much French they managed to understand. This provided them with a valuable insight into French cinema as well as giving them a chance to practise their understanding of the spoken language.
