Loserville The Musical was a success

Thorndon Hall, 5th, 6th and 7th February 2018.

The Performing Arts Department of Abbs Cross Academy and Arts College are pleased to announce that the school production of ‘Loserville The Musical’ was a success.

The cast impressed audiences in a matinee performance for local primary schools, followed by three outstanding evening performances. Each night, both cast and crew, earned standing ovations for the professional standards of work.

‘Loserville The Musical’ is set in 1971 and centred around a 17 year-old named Michael Dork, who is called a nerd, geek and a slacker by peers.  Michael and his sci-fi obsessed, social-misfit friends are all set to change the course of history, fashion and dating (in no particular order!)  Eddie – the coolest boy in school – wants to a fast ride to the top and doesn’t care who get trampled along the way.   Will Michael ever find his ‘ticket out of loserville’?

This incredible and unforgettable production was only possible due to student’s talent, commitment and desire to produce this ‘genius’ production. The cast, crew and band have attended countless rehearsals since September 2017.  Students have pushed themselves to prove that they are not ‘slackers’ and to prove that all of the ‘little things’ add up to big achievements!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Loserville, 2018.
