The Havering District Swimming Galas took place on Tuesday 26th April and Wednesday 27th April 2016 at Coopers Coburn School. Abbs Cross entered teams in every age group for boys and girls and our pupils swam extremely well and behaved impeccably. Congratulations to Elsie Wilsmore in year 7 and Aaron Wilson in year 9 who are the Havering freestyle champions! Elsie won her heat by a good distance and was then through to the final. The final was a competitive race and resulted in a very tight finish but Elsie managed to maintain her speed and determination for a fantastic win. Aaron Wilson performed brilliantly in his front crawl race. It was a very close heat, with Aaron finishing a respectable second place and making it through to the final. The final was extremely competitive and the leader of the race changed several times, however Aaron had a strong finish and managed to win to become Havering champion! Congratulations to both Elsie and Aaron!
