A group of Year 10 students visited Hertford College, University of Oxford, Thursday 9th May. The day started with a tour of the university the town of Oxford. During the academic taster session, students were taught by a tutor about a topic which took the form of a lecture with interactive activities. The aims of the sessions were to introduce students to university-level study, to show students the enthusiasm researchers have for their subject, and to inspire the students themselves to learn independently about what they find interesting. All the pupils enjoyed the experience and felt inspired to work had at school to be able to study at Russell Group Universities.
